There’s no better time than the shift in seasons to refine your beauty routine or refresh your daily essentials. For a dose of expert inspiration, we sat down with celebrity makeup artist and longtime NAGHEDI lover, Jamie Greenberg @jamiemakeup.

Known for her signature natural aesthetic and her work with clients like Kaley Cuoco, Rashida Jones, and Kristen Stewart, Jamie frequently creates her own tutorial content for her social media audience, as well as for outlets like E! News, Refinery29, and PopSugar. She is also the founder and CEO of Jamie Makeup, her eponymous line of multi-tasking products.

QUESTION 01

Tell us about your career journey.

I climbed the ladder from the bottom. I started at Ulta, then moved on to Bloomingdale’s. From there, I assisted makeup artists and grew my career. I’ve been in the industry for over 20 years and in 2020 I launched my own line. I saw a gap in the market for amazing, multi-tasking, easy-to-use makeup, so I decided to create the products I felt like I was missing in my kit. It was the best decision!

QUESTION 02

What’s your advice for someone who doesn’t love wearing makeup? 

Minimal effort can still make you feel gorgeous! A tinted moisturizer, lip/cheek balm (like my Blighlighter!), and mascara are all basic essentials that are easy to apply and won’t take a ton of time. Also, beauty starts from within! Hydration and stress management will go a long way in making you feel your best.

QUESTION 03

What technique or product do you find yourself returning to again and again?

Truthfully I think skin prep is one of the most important steps in a makeup routine, so I will always stand by face masks! Specifically, sheet masks and eye masks. They are a must. And JamieMakeup Bloss, Chuda spf, and Alōh hand sanitizer are always in my handbag.
