Summer has always been my favorite season. So much of my inspiration for NAGHEDI comes from the slower pace of beach days, crafting with my kids, cooking leisurely dinners, and exploring new places. For me the season is all about ease and spontaneity—here are some of the things I’m loving right now.

1. The Farm Stand:
Amber Waves Farm

Amber Waves is a summer staple. We really believe in their mission to create community and educate future generations. The farm stand is our daily stop for fresh local produce, flowers, lunch, and beach snacks. The kids love to explore, and we love their weekly CSA boxes. It’s such a special part of the season for us!

2. The Bakery:
S&S Corner Shop

S&S is one of our favorite neighborhood destinations for coffee and pastries—a relaxed, intentional coffee shop, specialty grocery, and curated design store, all under one roof.

3. The Maillot:
Eres

The best swimwear is timeless and uncomplicated—something you can wear year after year and comfortable to wear while chasing kids on the beach. I’ve worn Eres for years, and am recently loving Left On Friday. (I’m never without a NAGHEDI tote in summer! This is the St. Barths Large in Olea, one of my favorite archival colors. Our new Bottle Green shade is a great alternative!)

4. The Restaurant:
Il Buco al Mare

Il Buco al Mare in Amagansett is a favorite; my husband and I go for date nights or with the kids for an early dinner, and take friends when they visit. I love the simplicity of the menu and their local produce and seafood. We always order the focaccia!

5. The Beach Read:

Whistler by Ann Patchett 

I love having more time to read in the summer. My book club’s first read this season is Whistler by Ann Patchett. 

6. The Kids' Activities

We keep things really simple this time of year. We spend long afternoons at the beach, but when we’re home they’re usually reading, crafting, or building something. My daughter has recently discovered Judy Blume, and my boys are into comics and the I Survived series. Beading kits are always a hit, and have kept us busy for the past few summers.

7. The Summer Rituals

Summer allows us a different rhythm—it’s nice to slow down, especially around meal times. We love early morning bagels on the beach, and cooking more at home. We grill fish or make easy bowls. We eat outside as much as we can!

8. The Condiment:
Chili Crunch 

I love a good condiment! Right now I’m rotating through different chili crunches—I put them on everything, especially sandwiches for the beach.
